Some random news about some land and a hideaway that Angelina has bought. You can read the whole article and see photos at The Daily Mail.

This is the stunning secret hideaway Angelina Jolie is planning to buy – to expand the jungle paradise she bought from a Khmer Rouge commander accused of mass murder.

Pictured for the first time, Ms Jolie’s remote idyll in northeast Cambodia features tranquil jungle oases and beautiful plant species but its beauty hides a dark past.

The 7.5 hectare tract of land, which doubles as a compound for her charity MJP Foundation, was bought in 2002 from Ta Tith, an ex regime official formally charged in 2015 with committing genocide during the ‘Killing Fields’ reign of terror.

MailOnline can reveal that the 41-year-old took time out from promoting her new film about Cambodia’s horrific genocide forty years ago to ask representatives to offer £32,000 for the land next door, which is owned by a former Khmer Rouge soldier.

Rieng Cheat, who served under Ta Tith and called him ‘a good man’, gave a tour of the property and said: ‘I am happy we are selling to this famous lady. We see Angelina whenever she visits and she is always very friendly.’

I’m so eager to get to watch this movie. And I’m so happy it has got such good reviews so far, but more importantly that people who was affected by these horrible times feels like it give a authentic view on their struggle.

When the film was seen by those who survived, they shared that the movie depicts the real struggle that they have experienced. Two million people were killed within the period of four years. One survivor said that it was like her acting her real experiences in the movie. The pain was again felt and the horror came back to life.

Angelina Jolie used to visit Cambodia and she felt compassion for the people. In fact, her eldest son Maddox Jolie-Pitt is a Cambodian. He was one of the executive producers as the credits say in the movie. According to Metro, his work in the film was his first ever real job. Jolie said that his son was very interested in the project. He became a hands-on crew of the production team.

Angelina Jolie’s “First They Killed My Father” is a must-see movie, a heartbreaking account of the extent of man’s cruelty but also a story of heroism and human strength.

A new beautiful ad for Mon Guerlain – can’t wait for more!

Such a beautiful commercial with our beautiful Angelina! I’ve to say that for someone like me who isn’t too interested in beauty commercials, this one spoke more to me than they normally do.

“This new accord invites us to move beyond the divide and ambiguity of masculine and feminine, because it works to reconcile genres” – Delphine Jelk, co-creator of Mon Guerlain

Luxury French beauty house Guerlain has launched Mon Guerlain, a major new feminine fragrance, with actress and film director Angelina Jolie as the face.

The Moodie Davitt Report was the sole travel retail media present at the top-secret launch event held at Guerlain’s Orphin factory in January.

Mon Guerlain, available in 15ml (travel retail-exclusive), 30ml, 50ml and 100ml, will be launched worldwide (including travel retail) on 1 March.

Speaking at the launch event, Guerlain President & CEO Laurent Boillot underlined the house’s global ambitions for the fragrance. He said that the company has an international vision for the launch and is targeting “full expansion of the globe”. Without divulging numbers, Boillot revealed that Guerlain had “never invested so much in a fragrance launch”.

“We are going to speak to so many consumers in the world who don’t even know who we are,” said Boillot.

Mon Guerlain, referred to as code name ‘G17’ during development, is said to represent a portrait of women today and “accomplished femininity”. The perfume is described by Guerlain as “an invisible tattoo on skin”.

The fragrance, created by Guerlain Master Perfumer Thierry Wasser, features the signature tahitensis vanilla note found in other Guerlain fragrances such as Shalimar, Habit Rouge and Jicky. Carla lavender, often considered a masculine note, infuses tahitensis vanilla with freshness and purity. Other notes include sambac jasmine, which links vanilla to lavender, and santalium album sandalwood.

Delphine Jelk, co-creator of Mon Guerlain, said: “This new accord invites us to move beyond the divide and ambiguity of masculine and feminine, because it works to reconcile genres. This is exactly what gives Guerlain its power and modernity.”

“Mon Guerlain is a fragrance for women who defy categorisation, who embrace all that life brings and all sides of themselves, who are comfortable in their own skin and whose guiding spirit is to be true to themselves and to live a life of use to others,” said Guerlain.

Mon Guerlain is housed in a modern version of the 1908 quadrilobe bottle which was created by Baccarat. The top lines have been sharpened and a gold ring has been added. The understated bottle is similar to that of an alchemist and owes it name of ‘quadrilobe’ to its stopper, which resembles four lobes. Guerlain said it did not want the bottle to be ‘gimmicky’ so created a simple flacon with no label.

Actress and film director Angelina Jolie is fronting the Mon Guerlain campaign. The Guerlain-Jolie partnership began in December 2015 when Boillot travelled to Cambodia, where Jolie was directing her film First They Killed My Father. Jolie’s connection with Guerlain started many years ago from when her mother wore a Guerlain powder.

Mon Guerlain’s advertising film is set in Provence, France, where Carla lavender is grown and harvested. The ad visual features Jolie in dark shadow, with her back tattoos visible – linking to the idea of Mon Guerlain as an invisible tattoo.

Someone finally uploaded a video from the ‘Good Morning America interview (Aired February 21). Here she mentions the divorce and is the source of all the articles posted online lately with Angelina’s quotes. To handle such attention for something so private, she is so professional and honest at the same time.

This is such exciting times! The Hollywood Reporter posted several news on upcoming and rumoured projects including Angelina. There is talks about several projects, such as “The Bride of Frankestein“, Disney’s “The One and Only Ivan” and a directing project “Without Blood“. In general I’m just very excited about new movies starring our favorite Angie!

Despite reports that the actress-director is done with Hollywood, Jolie is in talks to star in ‘The Spy Who Loved‘ and a Catherine the Great project, both at Universal; is developing ‘Without Blood‘ as a directing vehicle; and has signed on to produce ‘The One and Only Ivan‘ for Disney.

Hollywood and Asian royalty rubbed shoulders Feb. 18 at the Cambodian premiere of Angelina Jolie’s new directorial endeavor, First They Killed My Father. Adapted from Khmer Rouge survivor Loung Ung’s memoir, the movie tells the story of Ung’s dramatic childhood and features a cast of mostly nonprofessionals, reproducing the nightmare of life under Pol Pot.

Noticeably absent from the low-key affair — held in the Cambodian city of Angkor — were Hollywood A-listers, including Netflix’s chief content officer, Ted Sarandos, who, sources say, paid a whopping $25 million for the Khmer-language release, due out this fall, with an awards-qualifying rollout from a to-be-determined theatrical partner. Netflix executive Sarah Bowen stood in for her boss, joining the evening’s hosts, Cambodia’s King Norodom Sihamoni and Queen Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk.

But Jolie isn’t expected to toil in obscurity much longer, despite reports that she is done with Hollywood. Once Hollywood’s best-paid female star, able to command $20 million in addition to profit participation for 2014’s Maleficent, the actress-director is plotting her return to high-profile fare in the wake of her massively publicized and acrimonious split from Brad Pitt, first announced Sept. 20 (the breakup was so ugly that it included child abuse accusations that Pitt was cleared of).

Sources close to Jolie say she is mulling a number of acting offers including reprising her role as the vengeful fairy in Disney’s Maleficent 2 and is in active development on two large-scale Universal projects: an adaptation of Simon Sebag Montefiore’s Catherine the Great and Potemkin: The Imperial Love Affair and World War II espionage drama The Spy Who Loved (based on Clare Mulley’s 2013 book). All the while, she is quietly prepping what may be her next directing vehicle: an adaptation of Alessandro Baricco’s 2004 novel Without Blood, which chronicles the cruelties of an unnamed war. She also has signed on as a producer on Disney kid pic The One and Only Ivan.
